3c905 isn't too bad as far as 10/100 interfaces go.  It can do TCP/IP 
checksum offload, and it seems to perform decently.  3c905's are 
on-board the motherboard of ftp.netbsd.org, and they pump a lot of 
traffic, with TCP/IP checksum offload enabled:
