What matters here is ``Rough Consensus and working code''.  The KAME
code doesn't work; its impossible to use with large numbers of SAs or
SPD entries. That's a bug.  What Craig Metz (or anyone else) has to
say doesn't affect that one iota.

Appealing to an Informational RFC to rescue poor-quality,
buggy code is something only an inexperienced engineer,
or a rather inept engineer, would do.
