How old are your man pages?

In addition to the hardware listed in wi(4), most vendor web-sites will
have hardware specifications available for their wireless cards.
Something I just thought of to help get the right card... google the
model numbers to see what kinds of problems people have had with the
cards under the wi driver. As I have found out the hard way, some
vendors revise their cards without letting you know and sometimes
without changing the model number at all.

If you're the patient type, call vendor support (number available on
product packaging or web-site) and just ask them. If they can't answer
your questions then the whole deal just isn't meant to be.

--- I swear, there must a conspiracy abrew to conceal the designs and
workings of modern wireless technology. I think it has something to do
with military intelligence. I'm afraid that industry has adopted
standards in use by military/gov't which have yet to be totally
declassified. And they're afraid that someone will use their $50.00US
wireless adapter to eavesdrop or disrupt military communications and
"head 'em off at the pass". Who? You know, THEY.
