I tried an ndp -a, saw an "expired" entry. wondered whence it came,
ping6'ed it, and my system crashed... (1.5.1_ALPHA/alpha kernel - a bit
old admittedly). I have a crashdump...

fatal kernel trap:

    trap entry = 0x2 (memory management fault)
    a0         = 0x48
    a1         = 0x1
    a2         = 0x0

    ra         = 0xfffffc000041d920
    curproc    = 0xfffffc000bd72530
        pid = 14408, comm = dnetc
