I'm working with a board (not publicly available - yet, at least) that
uses the AM79C975 for Ethernet. It mostly Just Works, as you'd expect,
with the 79900 support in -current. But every once in a while, mostly
upon dropping into ddb in the presence of network traffic, the chip
rolls over and plays dead. Only a lance_reset() has been known to
resurrect it. (Once, in fact, it took several minutes to identify it
as the Lance problem, find the appropriate softc pointer, and call
lance_reset from ddb - but once that was done, everything came back.)

Is anyone else using this chip? I'd be interested in either reports of
similar trouble or reports of _lack of_ similar trouble....

I may be able to find exact mask rev info if it matters; it could be a
rev-specific bug, for all I know....
