Is anyone looking at adding 802.11 support to NetBSD's libpcap,
and appropriate stuff to the drivers so we could do low-level
sniffing of wireless networks?

Ideally, this could lead eventually to being able to run cool tools
like AirTraf (http://airtraf.sourceforge.net/).

In late 2000, there was a rumour that a guy named John Hawkinson
at MIT was going to do this for NetBSD, and then copy it over to
tcpdump.org's pcap:

But it appears it happened for tcpdump.org without ever getting
into NetBSD.
