nmbclusters has been 1024 since 1.5.1 but noone has updated the
documentation yet (PR 16039, 16046). This is not nmbcluster-
starvation though, as that would say "mclpool limit reached".

Anyway, don't use realtek cards if you want performance or
reliability.
