We currently have multiple tunnel interface drivers. 

Among them are "gif" and "ipip".

The gif driver can do everything ipip can, and ipip is not being
particularly actively maintained.  Rather than leaving it in the tree
to rot, we might as well get rid of it now.  If anyone has a reason to
keep it around, speak up now so we can convince you you're wrong. ;-)
