Hello all,

First, thanks for the help with getting multicasting working.

I'm seeing a problem with NetBSD that I don't really have a good understand
of. Here is what happens. For one particular hostname, NetBSD is unable to
resolve the host. (I've attached the output of host -d on the NetBSD
machine.) What is strange is that other hosts are able to resolve the name
(Solaris, Linux, and W2K). I've tried pointing a two different DNS servers,
one running Solaris and the other running Linux, with the same results; that
is, for both DNS servers, NetBSD can't resolve the name and the other hosts
can.

However, for other names I've tried, the name resolves on NetBSD exactly as
it does on the other hosts. (Which probably just means that I haven't found
other names with the same characteristics, whatever the relevant
characteristics may be.)

A traceroute command run on the NetBSD machine (with the IP address) works,
and the route is identical to the routes from the Solaris, Linux, and W2K
machines.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. The attached output is long but, as it
retries several times before giving up, the relevant part is reasonably
short.
