Depends on what you want.  If you want a HTTP type proxy, then squid
   works perfectly fine with NetBSD.  I use it transparently from a
   wireless and wired subnet, with a 56k modem to the net.  No problema.

I'm after a general purpose proxy -- for running, say, Telnet or SSH over.
