I have. It is so amazingly handy. I used to run a site with several thousand 
users, and I implemented a two stage email forwarding system for when people 
left. Three months worth of transparent forwarding followed by three months of 
the redirect feature. A lot of people were very happy to get this kind of 
service.

I think this feature should go in, purely on the grounds that it makes users 
happy. What more could one want? (Apart from a life, riches and fame.)
