Yes, I know gif works with cisco. The question is whenever this works with
cisco's multicast tunnels. If using gif for multicast requires too much
hackery on the other side (I talked about cisco but this can be true for any
router) then peoples may just punt and use something else.
I know, for one, that if changes are needed on the cisco side for multicast to
work with gif, I will get back a "get a machine with a working mrouted".
