It is wired-equivalent; if you change the wiring of a wired network, you have
to replug all the systems using it. Substitute "wiring" with "keys" for a
wavelan network.

The right attitude is "unfortunately, it's wired-equivalent".

PS. And WEP security is almost as bad as unencrypted wire (i.e., none)
