well, the easiest way to get a Localtalk interface is to find one of
the Farallon cards at a swap meet.  It's just an 8530 with ISAbus
glue and the requisite drivers and transformers on the network cable
side.

(Farallon sold a Localtalk implementation for DOS and maybe early
windows)
