I'm been using 100Mbit Ethernet for a year. I find the lack of support
for changing 100Mbit PHY interfaces ... annoying. There just aren't
enough bits in the link flags to handle a common API for a single
driver supporting a family of cards that include all of {auto,
10baseT, 10base2, AUI, 100-TX, 100-T4, MII}.

Having to buy, and boot, DOS and DOS-based vendor diags, in order
to change media speed or interface, is deplorable.

Just Do It. :)
