Recently my machine was the target of several icmp packet spoofing attacks.
While they didn't crash it, the load avg went up to well over 4.0 and the
console nearly froze for minutes on end. Is there some way to help the
kernel or ethernet driver (ed) deal with this kind of problem more
effectively than to bog down the machine to where it drops connections
from other sites ?

I know this is NOT a technical post, but it is a serious problem on the
internet today and it would be great if a fix could be created for all
the ports of Netbsd.
