Re: Colored kernel messages on serial console

Yes, I too have about a dozen of those.
> impose on others
I don't really get where this idea comes from that I want to impose this
patch on anybody, just by asking a 'is this patch going to get me in
trouble' sort of question about it.
Independently of that (albeit related) I asked whether NetBSD would be
interested in colors on serial consoles, if it was implemented cleanly.
Why would I ask that? Because NetBSD somehow *does* unconditionally
color its kernel messages on its default console, which I thought was
a feature instead of a bug.
I for one perceive it as genuinely useful to spot at a glance whether it
was the kernel that said something, or userspace. I suspect at some
point some NetBSD developer thought the same, but for all I know maybe
it was Theo.
Going forward I'll enjoy having the console look the same, regardless of
what cable transports the data :)
