I've seen a washing-machine sized disk driver, used with 128-word
sectors (thus 4608 bits) on a PDP-10 installation, that was moved
after decomissioning the PDP-10 to a VAX 11/750, reformatted to
using 512-byte (4096 bit) sectors.
