mpii(4) with multiple drives

Does anyone use mpii(4) in a production environment?
The manpage says                                                       
        it is not a good idea to run this driver on a multi-boot                
        machine or with more than 1 drive                                       
but this would make the driver unusuable for any real-word usage, wouldn't it?
