I don't know if this is related or not, but is this an explanation of
why, sometimes, generally using pkgsrc (when it switches to root),
su(1) fails. May it be that depending on what one has being doing, or
from what program (terminal) the commands are sent, the library
may be already loaded or not, leading to a silent success or a
perplexing failure?
