It's good thing to keep support for old machines with MI API.
It's bad thing to complain about MI API to keep support for old machines.

If the API isn't really MI anymore, is it still not ok to complain about?

If there is no reasonable alternative, it means EOL of that machine,
as 80386.

That response makes no sense.

What does reasonable alternative for some architecture have to do with an API being MI or not?
