Maybe a short word on what these multi-position electro-mechanical  
keylocks actually are...

These keylocks have several positions, usually three or four, and you  
get several keys, some of them can turn the lock only in the first two  
positions, some can turn the lock into three positions and a master  
key can reach all positions.  It's that easy ;)
