wpi0 related kernel crashes

I'm seeing sporadic kernel crashes since, what I believe, running
version 4.99.69 and later. The crashes occur when commanding the
system to reboot or halt from the KDE environment, when it exits
into the debugger. The following is hand copied and may contain
errors, but is hoped to reveal enough information to be useful:

uvm_faul(0xc0ae1a80,0xcc95d000,1) -> 0xe

System is currently running NetBSD-i386 4.99.72 on a Dell Inspiron
9400 laptop computer.

dmesg output for the wpi0 device is shown below:

The system has currently the wpi-firmware2-2.14.4 driver installed.

Has anyone else seen this?
