I too like the multiple files.  I have systems with a small / that just
barely fit 2 kernels, and netbsd.gdb would not fit.  I tend to just make
a symlink from /var/crash/netbsd.gdb to the kernel build directory, and
ignore the netbsd file that savecore leaves.
