I am using NetBSD 4.0_RC2.
If apache is running (prefork, nearly 350 processes) sometimes the top
program exits with the error message:
kvm_open: kvm_getproc2: Cannot allocate memory
The server has enough memory (0 byte swap used), 430 processes are
running. The kernel was compiled with option "maxusers 96".
If I define a limit of 256 httpd processes for the apache, the problem
does not occur.
Is it a bug or do I need to change some kernel parameters?
thank you for your efforts
