   ffs only, but I run it on top of cgd on all slices.

   /etc/passwd:
jan:*:1000:100:Jan Danielsson:/home/jan:/usr/pkg/bin/bash
pkgsrc:*:1001:100::/home/pkgsrc:/bin/ksh

   I posted the my fstabs (nota bene: plural) elsewhere in this thread.

   I boot off a USB memory key, then use the sysctl init.root knob to
chroot from a memory disk to a cgd0a on wd0a. I followed Lubomirs
advise. See http://mail-index.netbsd.org/netbsd-users/2007/07/01/0002.html.

   The installation was straightforward: I unpacked the sets to my cgd0a
(on wd0a) using the "p" flag. I created my /etc/fstab, linked
/etc/localtime appropriately, fixed the rc_configured flag in rc.conf.

   The major difference with my system from Average System is the
init.root, I guess.
