I was designing a scalable flash FS some time ago. Glance at
http://www.linux-mtd.infradead.org/doc/jffs3.html. I've postponed this
for now and the design was somewhat re-thought, but this may be helpful.
I'm planning to return to this shortly.

Although I'm targeted to linux, we could cooperate in designing.
