Oh, good. I must have misunderstood something, then; I thought someone
suggested collapsing all the layers' vnodes into one vnode, which it
seemed to me would make it rather difficult to have a single
upper-layer vnode map into multiple lower-layer vnodes. If there is no
such obstacle, then yes, my concern is not applicable.
