Well, practically I was referring to forking child processes and seeing
how long it takes to get a certain PID; if it takes like few seconds
then it's unused; if it hangs for much longer you can tell there's a
process there.

Not much of a threat, but still a way to determine if a certain PID
is really non-existant or not. ;)
