You might want to check the BIOS settings on the machine for "IOMMU mode"
or "remap addresses > 4GB" or something like that.  I don't know exactly
what these do on amd64 -- I can guess, but I don't _know_ -- but since
you shouldn't need them, it's probably best to leave them off.
