I know that thread, and that's why I'm removing it.  I'd like to see the
problem reproduced in order to fix the real bug.

This is a merely a workaround.  Again, it *shouldn't* be needed.

I'm *willing* to debug that issue if someone can come up with a failing
device so I can see what happen.

Commiting workarounds like that is not always a good thing:  currently,
Grant's device might work on i386, but, if that line was the fix, would
fail on amd64 which does not have it in any of the kernel configuration.

Yet, it might still work on amd64 for some unknown reason, as the real
bug is unknown too.
