What is the status regarding devices with 2048 bytes/sector, such as DVD
RAM's and larger Fujitsu Magneto Optical drives? Apparently its
non-trivial to make this happen, though I don't understand why some
devices such as CD's (which are 2048/sector AFAIK) can be read (can
somebody explain this to me simply?). Does using IDE or SCSI make a
difference?
