can, but _usually_ won't. e.g. if NetBSD is loaded at the end of
physical memory, and the 2nd os is lied to about the amount of physical
memory at boot time. the 2nd OS would have to be _really, really_ broken
to try accessing the memory that is "not" physically present. (as far as
the OS is concerned).
