i guess this is the right thing.  it seems wrong to report the wrong
$MACHINE just for 32 bit emul, but the alternative seems to continually
cause problems.  sysctl hw.model will report enough info to determine
what the real machine underneath is.  i guess that sparc64 with a 32 bit
kernel should also be changed to say "sparc" in all cases.

that should also fix a build.sh bug i haven't found the time to properly
workaround yet.
