This might be a good starting point, but the whole kernel part needs carefull
examination first.

Actually macppc and sparc64 are two ports that imediately spring to mind.
It looks like Tonnere removed the worst hack from the kenrel part, but is
on a strange road when it comes to integration details.

Once the DMA engine is in place (and designed well) and details of wscons
and/or /dev/fb integration worked out, we can easily adjust any
X source you like to use this.
