There are tools pkgsrc depends on that evolve on a schedule not necessarily
synchronized with NetBSD releases (though NetBSD includes versions of them
current at the time of release).  They are included in the pkgsrc tarball
and can be built to supersede the ones that came with the OS, just by typing
the given command.  That is the value of "works with 2.0" for which "it
works with 2.0" holds.  :)
