Ideally we should have a single daemon the superseeds powerd, ifwatchd
and devd - with a single kernel interface providing all the interesting
events. I'm not sure if that's possible though, and it certainly is not
easy.

If we would have such a common kernel event interface, I'd prefer some
binary data from it too, but again this makes the design part hard.
