Well,

I have run an extensive benchmark called hbench (found in pkgsrc) with 
the "new" kernel. I have to run it with the "old one" (with respects to 
Mr. HP Lovecraft), but it took more or less 20 hours to complete (even 
on a P4 1400 MHz machine), so I'll size the opportunity of Thursday 
being off to lauch it tomorrow's evening. We'll have some (I hope) 
rigoureous points of comparison then.
