Okay, I'll try that.
One thing is certain :
# ll /netbsd /netbsd.old
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 3192189 Nov 8 16:46 /netbsd
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 3273130 Nov 2 09:48 /netbsd.old
GCC 4.0 output is almost 80 kB lighter.
