i think the idea here is that more is less.  the more platforms we
created (that are superflouous) the more support that is required
for them...  unless there are technically compelling reasonsto make
this change, i'm against it.  [*]

[*]  this might be a point of view against things i've said in the
past (i'm not sure :-), and is probably against some current methods
in netbsd.  i guess i just feel this way due to history & how much
work has been required for what i consider superflouous differences.
