No. Sketch just did a quick check for me, and SunOS 4.1.3_U1, Solaris
5.6, 5.7, 5.8 and 5.9 are the same as our old (and new again since
last night) behavior.

Arguably this behavior is not ideal, but it is almost universal. :(
