It looks like there is assembly code which needs to be
changed inside the src code. besides that, can I use
the native C compiler on AIX to build the kernel
binary? Im sure it does a much better job than gnu cc.
Also, if you can lend me the code you've modified-I
could try it out on the box in here. (Im not good at
assembly).

That's all shared code so it has to be done to work in
both 32 and
64bit environments.  BTW, I've been doing the Power3
work (I have
a 43P model 260).  I also have done the needed gcc
work.
