I'm trying to configure a kernel on NetBSD Release 1.6
with NKMEMPAGES set in the kernel config file to
196608, (approx 768 MBytes). My system has 2 GBytes
for physical memory (i386, Xeon).

The kernel builds ok, but when I boot it, I get a
kernel fault. The maximum value for NKMEMPAGES that I
have been able to use successfully has been 131072.

Any idea of what the limits are and how they can be
increased, with the possible ramifications of such an
increase?

Thanks,

Madhu Lakshmanan
