And in the shell:

azenomei.6:~$ ulimit -d
131072
azenomei.6:~$ ulimit -d unlimited
bash: ulimit: cannot modify limit: Operation not permitted
azenomei.6:~$ uname -sr
NetBSD 1.6

while on an older system:

klei.7:~$ ulimit -d
131072
klei.7:~$ ulimit -d unlimited
klei.7:~$ ulimit -d
1048576
klei.7:~$ uname -sr
NetBSD 1.4.2
