Regardless I think it's better to fix one program so that it doesn't
over-commit storage allocations rather than to have to hack every other
program to deal much less gracefully with the situation.
If I'm not mistaken we're much closer, at least in NetBSD, to being able
to fix the over-commit problem properly, once and for all.
