syncing disks... 6 6 3 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 giving up

Does anyone know why this might be occurring when I call
reboot(2)?

This is NetBSD-1.5, and the disk is a PCMCIA ATA flash disk or
IBM microdrive.
