So this patch doesn't work for me, though I get a bit further with it.
With the patch you get:

    umass0 at uhub1 port 1 configuration 1 interface 0
umass0: Sony USB Memory Stick Slot, rev 1.10/1.31, addr 3
    umass0: using UFI over CBI
    atapibus0 at umass0 channel 0: 2 targets
    sd0 at atapibus0 drive 0: <, , > type 0 direct fixed
    sd0: drive offline

Well, without any patches I get

    umass0 at uhub0 port 2 configuration 1 interface 0
umass0: Sony Sony PEG Mass Storage, rev 1.10/1.00, addr 3
    umass0: using RBC over CBI
    scsibus0 at umass0: 2 targets, 1 luns per target
scsibus0: waiting 2 seconds for devices to settle...
    probe(umass0:0:1:0): generic HBA error

Your patch gets me further, but still doesn't quite do the trick:

    umass0 at uhub0 port 2 configuration 1 interface 0
umass0: Sony Sony PEG Mass Storage, rev 1.10/1.00, addr 3
    umass0: using UFI over CBI
    atapibus0 at umass0 channel 0: 2 targets
    sd0 at atapibus0 drive 0: <Sony, CLIE MS, 1.00> type 0 direct removable
    umass0: CBI reset failed, STALLED
    sd0(umass0:0:0): Check Condition on CDB: 0x23 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0c 00
	SENSE KEY: Illegal Request
	 ASC/ASCQ: Invalid Command Operation Code

    sd0: drive offline
    umass0: CBI reset failed, STALLED
    sd0(umass0:0:0): Check Condition on CDB: 0x23 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0c 00
	SENSE KEY: Illegal Request
	 ASC/ASCQ: Invalid Command Operation Code

Any thoughts?
