Because of (and until perhaps one day it is fixed)
| ipfilter unforunately needs kernel & userland to be in sync. you
| should upgrade your ipf programs (ipf, ipfstat, ipnat, umm...)
wouldn't it be a good idea to include the ipf sources in syssrc.tgz ?
(as is done with config, which also needs to be in sync - though for
different, un"fix"able, reasons obviously).
Even if there's no good way to build it and install it automatically
(building a new kernel doesn't mean you're actually going to run the
thing) - just having the sources coupled that tightly might make it
more obvious that the two are this tightly coupled.
