Most of them, most of the time, no.  But to rephrase what I wrote above
slightly, I do not consider it acceptable to be unable to track down
some bug just because the page that wild pointer hit happens to have
been owned by a userland process at the time.

Note that I said "please make it optional" rather than "please don't".
