As of Solaris8, it requires 2 partitions - one for special boot stuff
(like Compaq's if you've ever installed NT on a compaq server) and the
other for the OS.

DOS partitions are access like this:
/dev/dsk/c0t1d0s0:c

Solaris makes no attempt to provide access to other Unix partitions.
